Ode to Anxiety

Oh sweet Anxiety, how many times
You made my imagination burn with passion
And propelled me to greater heights

How many times you introduced me
To things that were kept private from myself
And secret to the ones who know me best

Realisations of my capabilities
Come not with my success, but failures
And with the fear of further tragedy
Anxiety, I welcome thee
Success is boring, so is comedy
