Jocund summer boy

My inspiration quenched
With the warm summer rain
The light that drenched, dimmed
All my dreams again

The summer bird
Rang proudly my defeat
And not a word
Was lying at my feet

The cheerful winds
Blew dust into my eyes
I could not see beyond
The vast blue skies

The aspirations failed
To come to terms with joy
As I degraded back into a
Jocund summer boy
