Elf

She was so sure about herself
Nothing could stand in her way
Like a benevolent elf
She did magic every day
Expecting nothing in return
She transformed the world around her
And the people, they would yearn for her favours
Having found her

Her life was harsh, her path was rough
The karma troth turned out a lie
Having a good heart was not enough
When karma turned away its eye
It took one person and one knife
To take away her life
The people grieved a year or two
Soon all her memory died too

And the benevolent elf
Was no more.
